Bilo: Essenol, hand-drawn platform game, now on Google Play

Indie game developer Adam Fischer has officially announced the release of the mobile version of Bilo: Essenol, now available on Android via Google Play. This colorful platformer forces players to solve puzzles in dungeon levels and fight enemies and bosses along the way.

In Bilo: Essenol, players will follow the story of the protagonist, Bilo. He embarks on a dangerous adventure to "right the wrongs of the past." The portrait mode platformer should make players feel as if they are playing on a retro handheld console, recalling the distant past.

As can be seen in the trailer, the game also features nice background music and an optional storyline with hand-drawn illustrations for those who want a more narrative journey. Users are also free to choose when they want to see ads, so players are not bombarded with them. However, it is possible to opt to buy lives as a monetization scheme for the game. According to the trailer, some levels require players to pay for a certain number of lives, which can be earned by watching ads that offer, for example, seven lives.

Bilo: Essenol can be downloaded from the Google Play store for Android devices. It is a free game with in-app purchases. If you're interested, you can see the atmosphere, visual effects and controls of the game in the video above.
